Quality materials that respond beautifully to your touch, making the painting experience more enjoyable and the results more satisfying.
We work with a selection of natural and synthetic brushes, each chosen for its specific characteristics and feel.
Round Brushes: Versatile brushes that maintain a good point, well-suited for detail work, washes, and general painting. Available in various sizes from fine detail brushes to larger wash brushes.
Flat Brushes: Effective for covering larger areas, creating sharp edges, and applying paint in broad strokes. Suitable for both watercolor and acrylic work.
Filbert Brushes: Popular for oil painting, these brushes combine the control of a round brush with the coverage of a flat brush, ideal for blending and soft edges.
Specialty Brushes: We also have fan brushes, riggers, and other specialty brushes for specific techniques and effects.
We use quality paints in watercolor, acrylic, and oil, with a thoughtfully selected palette of colors.
Watercolors: Quality tube and pan watercolors with good pigment load and lightfastness. We work with a palette that includes both warm and cool versions of primary colors, plus earth tones and a few special colors.
Acrylics: Professional acrylic paints with rich, true colors and good coverage. Available in both heavy body and fluid formulations, depending on your preference and technique.
Oils: Traditional oil paints with high pigment concentration. We work with a range of colors that allows for mixing a full spectrum while maintaining color purity.
All our paints are chosen for their quality, consistency, and how they respond to the brush. Good materials make a significant difference in the painting experience.
The surface you paint on affects everything—how the paint behaves, how colors appear, and how the finished painting looks.
Watercolor Paper: We use 100% cotton paper in various weights (140lb and 300lb) and textures (hot-pressed, cold-pressed, and rough). Each surface offers different characteristics for different approaches.
Canvas: Pre-stretched and primed canvas in various sizes, ready for acrylic or oil painting. We also have canvas panels for those who prefer a rigid surface.
Other Surfaces: We occasionally work with paper prepared for acrylic or oil, wood panels, and other surfaces for experimentation.
Selecting the appropriate surface for your medium and technique matters. We assist you in choosing what suits your approach.
Everything you need to mix colors, clean brushes, and work comfortably in the studio.
Palettes: We have both disposable and reusable palettes. For watercolor, we use white palettes that allow you to see true color. For acrylics and oils, we use palettes suited to each medium's characteristics.
Easels: Adjustable easels that accommodate different canvas sizes and working heights. We have both table easels and floor easels.
Other Tools: Palette knives for mixing and painting, water containers, rags, and all the small tools that make painting more enjoyable.
Having the right tools at hand allows you to focus on painting rather than struggling with inadequate equipment.
